Current Consultancy Projects

  1. We have been working since January 2009 with a charity based in the Winchester area of Hampshire that is focused on encouraging individuals, businesses and organisations in the district to measure their carbon footprint and commit to reductions. Our role has been to encourage small and medium sized businesses to recognise the value of the work being done, to join the charity and help in their work towards a low carbon Winchester.
  2. We are extending this work to look more closely at the property sector. This encompasses the design and construction of new properties and cost-effective measures for the retrofitting of existing properties. The energy performance certificates introduced for both domestic and commercial properties present a real opportunity to measure the current state of our buildings and understand where we can carry out changes to effect rapid but cost-effective improvements.
  3. On the social side of the business, we are working on a project looking into the ‘identity’ of higher education students who are studying environmental subjects at second and third year undergraduate level. We are keen to understand whether the students see themselves as ‘environmentalists’ and how this affects their career aspirations.
